Oh wow, it's almost Easter! 🐥🌷
I may have had some more ambitious plans in terms of Easter sewing projects, but life has been really busy lately and I am happy that I was at least able to finish and share these two dapper ducks.
I hope you'll enjoy this project as much as I did! 💛
A few notes before we start
The shown mini quilts finish at 15" x 19" each.
You will need the following pattern:

Duck March (get the PDF / printed booklet)
Download the free Duck March Hat add-on pattern linked below.
Fabric requirements: please have about 1/2 yd of background fabric at hand for each mini quilt. You'll only need small amounts of fabric for all the duck and hat details, so you'll likely already have what you need in your scrap bin.
Preparations
Print your choice of templates as outlined in the Duck March Hat add-on. The PDF includes a few different options..
Additionally, prepare the following background pieces before you start piecing your FPP sections:
BG*: 2" x 19 1/2" (2x per mini quilt)
Making your duck blocks
1. Make your duck block as described in the Duck March Hat add-on pattern. For a male mallard you can use this modified template.
2. RST, sew your BG* pieces to the left and right of your duck block.

Finishing your mini quilt(s)
3. Finish (baste, quilt and bind) your mini quilt as desired. If you'd like to finish your wall hangings with fabric loops and a rustic wooden dowel as shown in the photo at the top, here is a tutorial.
4. Decorate your duck(s) with further accessories, e.g. a bow tie or pearl necklace.
Please enjoy and have a very happy Easter!
